My goodness. It's been almost a year since my last post. The second Annual CFMGS is over, and I'm still working at Bunge. No new Voice Over stuff to talk about. Amy & I moved her scrapbooking stuff downstairs now, so I can focus on putting the office to use as a studio to maybe do a podcast or two. I have a good idea for one I can work on, so hopefully I'll actually do it soon.

Today is the day.
Today my voice goes out over the airwaves for the first time. Our first Faith Fellowship Radio Spot will start airing today, and it's the first of many that will run thru January. It will be on WLCA 89.9FM, which airs in the Riverbend area.

Photoshoot
On Tuesday October 30th, yours truly officially became a model. I hung out for about an hour while holding a glass of beer and talking to a couple other models, and got paid hansomly for it. The shoot was for Hoegaarden (pronounced who-gar-den) Beer. It was really a neat experience.
Tomorrow I am working as an Escort at the Tug McGraw Foundation's Denim & Diamonds Gala at Grant's Farm.
Should be fun!!

First Gig
Well, soon when you call Midwest Motor Sports and they put you on hold, you will hear my voice. Yup I got my first gig as a Voice Over Artist. Granted, the Owner & CEO of the company is a friend, who would rather have me do it than some company out of LA, but it's still a VO job, and I'm thrilled with the opportunity to use what I've learned.
I have to have it done by the end of October, but i'm sure I'll get it to them in the next week or so, then you can call them up and ask to be put on hold so you can hear ME!!

Well the 19th has come and gone, and that was the day of the Miller Light photo shoot. I wasn't chosen. Oh well. If nothing else, there is now a casting director, and a photo studio that both have digital pics of me that they took. Who knows? They might need me for something.
The CFMGS is over, and boy am I relieved. It went better than we ever expected, and we raised a lot of money for a great cause. I think we're going to plan a trivia night for this winter to raise seed money for next year's tournament. So we're already in planning mode again!

I Got Called Back!
Yesterday, I got a call from Images asking me to go to the photography studio where the Miller Light ad will be shot for a call back. (www.brutonstroube.com) I met a young lady named Stacey, and she took several quick snapshots of me. It took about 5 minutes, but hopefully it was the five minutes that will land me my first job as a print ad "model".
I never in my wildest dreams would have thought that I'd be getting into this sort of thing, but it's fun, and I'm just going to roll with it.
